Angela Barbaryan
About MeHello everyone! My name is Angela Barbaryan. I am a Junior at UNLV, I am 20 years old, and my major is hospitality management. I was born in North Hollywood, California, but I have been living in Las Vegas since I was 3 years old with my mother and my sister. FUN FACT: This winter break I went on the Winter Studies in Asia Program going to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Thailand all in 2 weeks and it was the most incredible experience of my life. |
My Background
I graduated from Coronado High School in 2010. I have always kept myself busy since I was young, doing activities and sports such as dancing, swimming, basketball, color guard, and tae kwon doe. For the first two years of my college experience I was a Business major. After 2 years I began working at Polo Towers, a hotel/timeshare resort, and I fell in love with the hospitality industry. This is where my passion for hospitality management originated and I made the simple decision to switch from Business to Hospiltality. This is only my second semester in this new major, but I have a strong desire to pursue my career in the hospitality indutry.
My Career Goals
There are numerous opportunities for me in the hospitality industry and I cannot wait until I earn my degree and have many doors open to my future. One opportunity I am looking into after graduation is a 6 month internship at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. During my trip to Asia this winter we went to this resort and along with a tour of this incredible resort, we also met 2 directors and the Assistant General Manager of the hotel. This resort was absolutely gorgeous and the company treats all their employees with respect, I cannot wait for the chance to work for a company as ethically sound as Marina Bay Sands. My future is bright and I am excited to see what is in store.
